Rachel - Deportation Day Update 2
“She’s in a van near the plane. She’s been immobilised with a belt tightly around her waist. (for her safety, haha). She is distressed, nauseous and in pain. She asked for water but they have none to give her. Inhumane!”
The flight departed on time, presumably with Rachel on it. A human trafficking victim, brave enough to blow the whistle, immobilised and probably triggered into dissociation and reliving her abuse.
But then good news came through…
“Rachel has been taken off the plane. Thanks to the legal eagles and God, her removal has been paused or stopped. They are arranging to take her to one of the detention centres.”
I have not heard from Rachel, I have not heard where she is being held, I have not heard how she is, I have not heard the reason why the removal was stopped.
This was sent saying “the arrangements given on her Notice of Departure have been cancelled and you will not be removed on the date given in that notice”.
“You will receive further notice before you are removed”
Well done to all concerned.
Whilst this is a victory for now, we must still remember that Rachel is still detained under the control of one of the huge corporations at the behest of the Home Office. For the past month or so Rachel has been deprived of food, received much ill treatment and obstruction to her rights as well as being on physical danger.

I still do not where she is or how she is and have not heard. If experience of the past month or so is anything to go by, they will make her travel an excessive distance, during time when she should be asleep and they will make everything as difficult as possible for her.
