What happened to Nicole Kolpack?

Why did Nicole’s car crash?
Why are all the 6 people dead that Nicole last spoke with when she came out of her car crash coma?
What were the Trust and will arrangements of Nicole’s millionaire grandmother?
Why did Nicole’s grandmother change her will in the last days of her life?
Where is Nicole Kolpack being held now?
Why can Nicole not speak to anyone without Bonnie being on the line?
Why can’t people visit Nicole?
The above are some the questions I am left with after researching this case…
This disturbing story begins with a brilliant invention.
Late in life, Dick Talbert, a self educated inventor, and his wife Hilda, invented a sensor that could detect oil from an aircraft, using the earths gravitational field. This device lowered the cost of detecting oil from $13 a barrel to $2.75. They lived in Texas, and their company was Electro-Seise.
This made them millionaires and not too long afterwards they sold the company for more than $25/30 million.
The Union Democrat [Date c.2001]
Hilda had had a son Glenn in 1947 with her previous husband, Lloyd Henry Kolpack.
Glenn had a child called Miles in 1976 with his first wife, Melinda. They later divorced in about 1982.
Glenn married his second wife in 1988, his first cousin Bonnie. He was 41, she was much younger at 23.
Glenn had two more children with Bonnie, Nicole in 1993 and Hank six years later.
Nicole as a child
Miles was 17 years older than Nicole but he doted on his little stepsister…
“Pic of me and my little sister when I gave her her first go cart. I had to put blocks of wood on the pedals because her feet were too short”
Just to make clear at this stage I have had delay this post for some time to avoid legal complications, as Bonnie was applying to obtain a court order against her stepson Miles to prevent him contacting her. She has now done this and he is not allowed to send her messages or approach her. More on this later.
Bonnie Affair
In about 2009/10, Glenn and Bonnie lived in Phoenix Lake estates and every other day they went for a walk around the golf course. Sometimes Bonnie, Nicole’s mother, would go for a walk without her husband, after consuming a fair bit of alcohol. She would stop at Nicole’s boyfriends house and eventually according to a source, they started having an affair. An affair with her daughters boyfriend!
One of the neighbourhood kids had taped Bonnie and Nicole’s boyfriend one night and was going to try and blackmail them with it. Miles found out about this and stopped the blackmail scheme. When Nicole found out about the affair she was devastated and even talked about suicide on social media. She confronted her stepmother Bonnie who denied everything.
Nicole before her car crash
Not long after this Nicole had a car crash.
Nicole’s Car Crash and Coma
In May 2010 the car crash left Nicole seriously injured and in a coma for 49 days.
Tues May 4 2010 My Motherlode Sonora Teen Injured In Crash [2]
Bonnie, Nicole’s mother soon set up a website which gave details of Nicole’s condition and raised money for medical expenses.
In Bonnie’s first post she says the crash occurred the previous Saturday about 11.30pm. She mentions that Nicole’s other friends, all in their own cars, went back a half mile, and a man was already at the crash site with a torch, later said to be the property owner.
They were all tested for alcohol and drugs and found to be sober.
2010 Feb Nicole Will Walk Nicole Kolpack on the comeback trail Archive [1a]
Strangely the first post is marked 2020 February, prior to the crash. The second post is marked May 13 so perhaps there was a technical issue and the first post was after the accident and before May 13th, but it is not exactly certain when.
Nicole Will Walk Second post May 13 update [12]
At this stage Nicole was still in a coma -why would you call a blogsite Nicole Will Walk when she was still in a coma and her ability to walk not an issue at that stage?
Nicole stayed in a coma for 49 days, until approx Jun 18. Nicole was transferred to the San Francisco rehab center on June 23.
The local community around Senora rallied round and held several events and raised $50,000 by various events – yard sales, bake sale, benefits, Mexican dinners and fundraisers [26] [23][25]
Bonnie said the amount of money raised was “way wrong” Sept 21st [55] but said “However, Glenn and I are carefully considering ways to make every dollar of it work for Nicole, We are looking into pooling some of our own money with it for some schooling to assist people with her type of needs receive college diplomas.”
Medical fees in the US are very expensive. They racked up $4 million in fees, most of which was paid by insurance, but still the family had to pay 20%, about $1 Million by Aug 2010. Teen’s recovery nothing short of miracle to family [22]
Money was obviously a concern for the Kolpacks – “We’ll keep working and pay it back the best we can,” said Bonnie, who with Glenn owns a Highway 108 construction yard and storage business marked by the legendary Tin Man. “But, yes, they could come after our business and property.”[5a]
Nicole finally got to go home on Sept 23 2010.
Extraordinarily most of the people who Nicole stayed with or met with when she came out of hospital have died.
Deaths
A number of strange deaths occurred to people who knew and loved Nicole. This is extracted from the last post Bonnie made on her blog. It was a strange one from May 2012 [30]
One evening I was on the phone with my closest neighbor, Walt. He’s the one that travelled with 4 or so higher ups in his church to bless Nicole shortly after the accident. The next day Glenn and I drove by Walt’s house, saw the same church higher ups, and a sheriff car in his driveway, I knew instantly that Walt was dead.
Frank made a big sign that said “Welcome Home Nicole…We Love Ya” he put it in our front yard while we were in route taking her home from the hospital that very happy day. The sign is still out front of our house. Frank died right after that.
Uncle Butch especially connected with Nicole before her accident, she was a teenager trying to clumsily find her way through, and trying to figure out just how to fit in… just as he’d always done. He died suddenly couple months after we brought her home.
Our Grandson died suddenly and unexpectedly of an unforeseen illness. He was the one that always used to play with Nicole.
Larry string beaded bracelets with her, and listen to her ramble on and on about things he knew were fabrication. He was thrilled to take care of her. He died of a sudden illness.
Roger wanted to know all about what Nicole’s condition was and how we were doing all of the care and stuff like that. He took his time with me, he wanted to know, I didn’t want to tell him, but I did. Roger died that night from a short unexpected illness.
Grandpa was heartbroken from that accident. He’d call me on my cell when he knew it would only be me… and through his drunken, messy voice……… he’d say “Bonnie…… tell me about Nicole” and I would. Didn’t want to tell him, but I did. He died a couple of months ago. [30]
Seven people that were close to Nicole all died within a year.
Seven people that had spoken to Nicole and knew her state of health when she came out of hospital. They all died. She had stayed with four of them.
Bonnie attributed the deaths to them all taking a part of Nicole’s soul to heaven!!??.
A very strange idea, all the more so, especially as Nicole was still alive.!! Whoever heard of multiple people dying to take parts of a living person’s soul to heaven?
Bonnie totally unnecessarily and uncharitably mentions in her public blog about Nicole, that the grandpa was drunk – “through his drunken, messy voice” . This appears to be the millionaire grandpa Dick Talbert. Was Bonnie trying to create a narrative?
Bonnie continues…
To help with the soul of our daughter that we lost as a result of her accident, a certain chain of events happened after we brought her home, all within that same 1 year or so period of time:
I knew instantly that Walt was dead. To this day, I feel that a broken heart had something to do with it.
Frank died right after that. I think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
Uncle He died suddenly couple months after we brought her home. I think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
GrandsonI think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
LarryHe died of a sudden illness. I think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
Roger died that night from a short unexpected illness. I think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
Grandpa He died a couple of months ago. I think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
Yet for 6 of them Bonnie writes I think he took a part of Nicole’s soul when he got to heaven. To care for it. To nurture it. To love it.
A handful of big, strong, men. All needed to care for, nurture and love my baby’s lost soul. Can’t think of any other reason it all happened.[30]
This story Bonnie has given as she says she cannot think of any other reason why it happened.
This thinking appears utterly bizarre and quite sinister, especially as Nicole was alive and at home.
According to Miles, Nicole his sister made a great recovery and other people thought so too, “Every single person that talked to my sister after her accident when she came back home said they couldn’t even tell there was anything wrong with her“.
“When my sister first came home from the hospital my father asked her “do you remember anything from the coma” and my sister said “yeah I remember talking to Jesus”. My dad goes – “oh yeah, how do you know you were talking to Jesus? “She said cuz when I sat down I felt it.” My dad and Bonnie went to church that next Sunday that’s the only time I’ve ever known them to ever go to church…”
Nicole could also still remember Bonnie’s affair with her boyfriend.
Bonnie’s last post on the NicoleWillWalk blog in seem to predict or pave the way for what happened next… The vast majority of Bonnie’s last post appeared to be from a selfish point of view and is spent portraying herself and her family as the victims, rather than Nicole. However here are some relevant bits about Nicole.
For full post see – 2012 May 22 Nicolewillwalk 2 Yr Update on Nicole -teen with traumatic brain injury was in coma. [30]
5 months to the day, we drove her home from a serious and intense hospital stay that was 3 hrs away from our home. There was a year, year and a half window period for improvement for traumatic brain injury recovery. Nicole would live with a small group of special needs people. Have a schedule of fun and entertaining events by day, help with evening meals, games, and chores by night. Nicole was like a fish out of water. Her disability wasn’t the same. It was too much for her, the special needs people, the staff at the homes, the everything. She was lost twice in town. If I’m correct, I believe she went through 2 or 3 group homes, and at least 2 crisis homes. It took my husband and I 4 months of recovery at home after we placed our daughter in a life long, live in rehabilitation program, It took us 4 months before we could take even 2 or 3 tasks in a day, make a plan, carry it out, and do those 2 or 3 tasks. After that, it took about 3 more months before we could produce a 4 to 6 hr productive day, which is still our max. today.
She has no safety filter (that’s what it’s called). All people have a safety filter. It’s the voice that tells us: it’s too hot, don’t walk there. Don’t get involved with that. Don’t do that to people. This type of brain injury also has no impulse control. Do before you think. Except there is never a “think” before during or after the incident. You know how you have to watch every move a 1 yr old baby makes? They don’t have mature safety filters or impulse control yet. There is no, or very little short term memory. Short term means now, a few minutes ago, a week ago, a month ago. I you ask her what she had for lunch she’ll say “I don’t know” or else TBI people are famous for fabricating, making up the answer to make the conversation flow along in a way most would be fooled. But the memory prior to the accident is very good. The best way I can describe it is like dementia.
Put her in a brain injury rehabilitation center! Yea! She’d be with others very similar to her. The staff is educated on exactly the needs that she requires. It’s overseen by the best medical professionals in the traumatic brain injury field in the State. She’d be a day long drive away. We jumped on it.
Our son [Hank] has developed OCD, also he controls what foods he eats.
Nicole’s recovery will always continue. It’s best if she stays in a scheduled, repetitive environment. She stopped making real progress about a year after her accident. But continues. I am sure she’ll remain in the facility for life. She, like the rest are stuck in time where they were just prior to the accident. So she’ll continue to remain 16 yrs old. Stuck on exactly the issues she had at that time. She’ll always talk and go over her career choices with us, and what she’ll do in college, and which college she should go to, and what she’ll be as an adult. We’ll discuss this with her over and over as long as we live. Then she will discuss it with someone else.

Nicole back in hospital
Around that time in 2012 Nicole was put back into a hospital. So Nicole was free for less than 2 years. Bonnie has not kept people up to date on her blog since.
No one is allowed to talk to Nicole on the phone unless its a three way conversation with Bonnie.
No one is allowed to visit Nicole unless Bonnie approves.
Is Bonnie an overdominant mother? Is she a controlling person?
Bonnie said her son, Hank, developed OCD [obsessive compulsive disorder]. This is often a sign of feeling you have no control over your life due to a controlling parent. The child feels that they cannot control their life so it left controlling food or normally unimportant things in abnormal ways.
Nicole’s elder half brother Miles says
“My sister was very much alive. No one is allowed to talk to her unless it’s a 3-way call with my stepmom Bonnie. The only person that’s allowed to see her is her other grandma and that’s only once every two months.“
“My little sister is locked in a hospital doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not, she scared and she’s alone.”
Many times when people are put into these sort of places, drugs are used against their will, totally disorientating them. For examples see

Where is Nicole?
Why is Nicole really in hospital?
Is Nicole in hospital to keep her quiet – about Bonnies affair, or what she knows about her car crash?
Why is Nicole not allowed to speak to anyone without Bonnie listening, or visit without Bonnie?
What drugs has Nicole been put on?
Dick Talbert’s Death
The grandfather who died appears to be Dick Talbert. In Jan 2012 Dick Talbert, Nicole’s grandfather, the inventor of the oil locator device, died.
When Dick was alive, the grandchilden were told by their grandparents that there was a living trust and indeed, all the grandchildren were taken to a restaurant individually to be told that they would get money from it. For living trust see What is a living trust?[51]
After Dick Talbert died Bonnie flew to Texas and Hilda, nee Hilda Rose Koelzow, was moved into an apartment at the Tin Man construction yard in Sonora. Numerous people were on a list of people not allowed to talk to her. it appeared she was being isolated.
A nurse for Hilda, Miles and Nicole’s grandmother turned up one day at Miles’s house and told him that his grandmother was being given Xanax and drinking vodka. Xanax, is a brand name for Alprazolam, a short-acting tranquilizer [60] The nurse said that was dangerous and could kill an old lady. The nurse told Miles that Bonnie had said “shut up and do your f…ing job” .
Hilda Talbert, Nicole and Miles’s grandmother died by the end of the year.
Again bizarrely, at Hilda’s death memorial Bonnie put a picture of Nicole up next to Hilda’s as though she was dead.
Despite the promise the grandparents made to the grandchildren that they would get money, they did not. When Hilda was brought to Sonora and was on Xanax, it appears that Hilda’s will was changed and everything in the will appears to have been signed over to Glen/Bonnie and Bonnie was made sole executor.
There are some documents related to Dick Talbert’s probate…
This is marked 14 Jan 2016 to 31 October 2016, Bosque County, which is Texas, for a fee of £150 for an ad litem attorney Luke Giesecke, appointed on 14 October 2016, the fee being approved on 7 Nov 2016.
20161109133238386 Bosque County Court Document
I have made slightly larger copies below.
This is for Glen H Kolpack, ITMO, (presumably in the matter of) Richard Granville Talbert.
The source of fees is “estate” presumably Richard Talbert’s estate.
PO 7986 (PROB) I am assuming this stands for Probate and probate number
An ad litem attorney is normally appointed for someone who has a legal disability and I am presuming the attorney is for Nicole Kolpack “ the judge of a probate court may appoint an attorney ad litem to represent the interests of a person having a legal disability, a nonresident, an unborn or unascertained person, or an unknown heir in any probate proceeding” Family Law Ad Litem [52] Ad Litem [53]
This is Luke, the ad litem from Texas.
Luke Giesecke – Bosque County Court [54]
I am confused as to –
Why, when Richard Talbert died in Jan 2012, was probate still not sorted in late 2016?
Was Nicole an heir to money from her grandfathers will, and if so why has it not been sorted out before?
Why has an ad litem not been set up for Nicole previously?
What happened to the rest of Richard Talbert’s estate/trust and indeed Hilda Talberts will?
If anyone can shed light on these questions or anything else on this case please contact me cathyfox@zoho.com
There definitely is a conservatorship of Nicole as in 2018 it was renewed.
2018 Tuolumne Courts Conservatorship 2018 PR10694 Conservatorship of Nicole Kolpack Hearing type:Review re court investigator’s report (Prob. Code, § 1850) Conservators:Bonnie and Glenn Kolpack Conservators’ counsel:None The Court has reviewed the report filed on June 28, 2018. Appearance not required. A review hearing re the court investigator’s next report will be set for July 10, 2020[10]
Does Luke Giusecke Nicole’s ad litem attorney know about Miles’s concerns about his sister?
Does Nicole’s ad litem just follow directions from his paymasters or is he properly acting in Nicole’s best interests?
Is it in Nicole’s best interests for her to be kept so isolated from friends and family?
Glenn and Bonnie Kolpack
Background information on Glenn and Bonnie. They married in about 1988. Glenn was about 41, his first cousin bride Bonnie was about 23. Glen is now in his early seventies.
Glenn and Bonnie
They own Kolpack Construction in Sonora and have the tin man mailbox, well known in those parts, which is where Hilda was put in an apartment.
Kolpack Yard – Tin Man Mailbox
Bonnie has a band called the 5150’s. 5150 refers to Section 5150 that allows a person to be held in involuntary psychiatric lockdown…
The equivalent in the UK would be calling a band “Sectioned”, which is especially bizarre when this has happened to your daughter…
Here are Bonnie’s 5150s…
This is the background for their website
In 2016 Bonnie seems to have bought up several properties in Sonora, some of them foreclosed.
Recent picture of Bonnie
So from being strapped for cash and talking about the business being closed in 2010, then in just 6 years, it appears with the money from her husband’s mother and step father, Bonnie was rolling in money.
Restraining order on Miles
In late 2020 Miles started to be pursued in court by Bonnie.
I have had to delay this post for some time, to avoid any legal implications, as for a few weeks Bonnie has been applying for a restraining order against Miles her stepson, over messages he has sent her.
Although I do not condone any of what is termed harassment, when genuine questions are asked and no answer forthcoming, then it can lead to frustration, particulary if there appears to be legitimate questions about some underhand or nefarious activity.
There is no suggestion of intimidation or violence by Miles, and in spite of Bonnie’s totally unsubstantiated allegations in court papers of Miles using drugs, no evidence was provided and this appears to be a totally unfounded embellishment, to help her case.
The messages provided to the court are from Miles asking questions such as…
Do you think punching a 70 year old lady is right?
Do you think locking my poor little sister in a hospital and not letting her have any contact with the outside world except through you is right?
Do you think putting names on a list and not letting them talk to my grandma is right?
Do you think its ok to steal my families inheritance and think you were going to get away with it?
Let us re-examine the crash…
